Information for Winter Day Camp 2020

Winter Day Camp 2020 includes lots of fun activities! Tubing, crafts, games, snow fort building, plus a daily snack and bible lesson. We will have warm up times by the fire (and indoors, depending on temperatures) but most of our day will be outdoors.

Please dress your child ready to play outside for several hours! We recommend a baselayer (long-johns), a mid-layer (cozy pants, not jeans, fleece sweatshirt), and an outer layer (warm waterproof snow pants and coat). Your child should have warm socks, snow boots, gloves, and a buff or scarf. Please send an extra pair of gloves and socks. Also, remember to  dry your child’s snow gear each night.

Indoor time is carefully planned to avoid large groups sharing space. Campers will not be asked to wear face-coverings. Solid Rock staff will be wearing face-coverings at specific times, such as serving the snacks.

If your child is experiencing Covid symptoms, including fever, cough, loss of taste or smell, please do not send them to camp. If your child has been exposed to a person who has tested positive for Covid in the last 10 days, please do not send them to camp. We will happily issue you a refund!

TECHNOLOGY

Camp is for playing outdoors and making new friends! We do not allow cell phones or other electronic devices such as iPads, iPods, handheld games, or other devices. If you send a device with your child, it will be held in the camp office until checkout.

Campers have access to a phone to call home.  Please make sure your child knows the best phone number to use and that it is on their registration so we can help them if needed.
