Junior Day Hikes, Jun 10/Jun 13, Grades 4th to 6th

  • This shorter camp is a great introduction to hiking on the Kenai Peninsula. Enjoy cooking over the fire, playing games, and making new friends. Nights are spent at the Wilderness Base Camp on Solid Rock grounds. Hikes are normally in the Skilak Lake Recreation area. Total of 4 days and 3 nights. Difficulty: 3

High School Canoe, Jun 14/Jun 20, Grades 9th to 12th

  • Spend 5 days canoeing and camping on the Swan Lake Canoe Trails. Make new friends while learning a variety of skills including fire starting, survival and bushcraft, portaging and paddling techniques, the Capistrano T-Rescue or how to make a sauna. Total of 7 days and 6 nights. Difficulty: 7

Junior High Hammock and Backpack, Jun 14/Jun 20, Grades 7th to 8th

  • Spend 5 days hiking in the mountains and sleeping in hammocks where no tent can go. New experiences, new friends, and new skills! Learn how to prepare for a backcountry adventure, whether it be a day hike or an extended trip. Total of 7 days and 6 nights. Difficulty: 7

High School Sea Kayak, Jun 21/Jul 1, Grades 9th to 12th

  • There are endless opportunities to explore as we hike to glaciers, waterfalls, and lakes, swim in white water streams, and make iceberg slushies . Enjoy watching glaciers calve, whales, sea lions, and sea otters swim. You’ll camp on the beaches of the dramatic Blackstone Bay, located just outside of Whittier.This kayak trip has been extended to 11 days to take advantage of the abundant scenery and to allow for weather conditions if needed. Munchkin Day, Jun 24/Jun 26, Grades K to 1st

  • A perfect introduction for our youngest campers, with short hikes to a historic cabin, a glacial erratic, and an educational nature walk. Campers will enjoy making new friends while going on adventures, playing games, creating crafts, story time and so much more. Total of 3 days. Difficulty: 1

Junior High Day Hikes, Jul 1/Jul 4, Grades 7th to 8th

  • Looking for a little bit of variety? Join us for 2 day hikes and 3 days of canoeing. Enjoy cooking over the fire, playing games, taking in new scenery, learning canoeing techniques, playing in the lakes, and making new friends. Total of 7 days and 6 nights. Difficulty: 4

High School Mountain Biking and Day Hikes, Jul 12/Jul 18, Grades 9th to 12th

  • This trip is a combination of fast-paced and relaxation. Enjoy 3 days of shredding dirt on mountain bike trails and 2 days of day hikes. Spend the evenings relaxing while you hang around the campfire, enjoying great food, and making new friends. Never been on a mountain bike? That’s OK, you’ll be trained and equipped with what you need! Want to bring your own bike? You will be reimbursed the cost of the bike rental if your bike is approved by the instructor. Total of 7 days and 6 nights. Difficulty: 8

High School Hike and White Water Rafting, Jul 19/Jul 25, Grades 9th to 12th

  • If you are looking for a fast-paced adventure this is the trip for you. Spend the week backpacking and camping, with a day rafting on Sixmile Creek*, the Kenai Peninsula’s premier white water river. *Guided by Nova River Runners. Total of 7 days and 6 nights. Difficulty: 8

  • Join us for a week in the beautiful Alaskan mountains! You’ll spend your time backpacking, camping, making new friends, playing hacky-sac, and enjoying the nature that surrounds you. When you happen upon a snowfield, you're almost guaranteed a summer snowball fight! This is the week to get some awesome pictures from the top of the mountain… maybe even snap your picture with a caribou, goat, or marmot too. Total of 7 days and 6 nights. Difficulty: 7
