Forest Course Tuesdays & Thursdays K-1st, Sep 15/Oct 22, Grades K-1st
- Encouraging curiosity about nature and an appreciation of God’s creation, the Forest Course is designed to get kids exploring outdoors! Led by Solid Rock staff, kids will learn about forest ecology through exploration, observation, and play. The Forest Course seeks to build connection, resilience, outdoor skills and nature knowledge, as well as encouraging each child to learn about the character of God.
Classes are twice a week for 2.5 hours. The session runs for 6 weeks. Topics such Seeds & Berries, Autumn Leaves, and Fire in the Forest focus specifically on the Kenai Peninsula seasons, species, and dynamics.
